We are thrilled to be celebrating 10 years of creative contribution to Newham’s cultural landscape and community. To mark the occasion, we have created a range of special events and experiences.
Our 10th anniversary poetry sessions started on Wednesday 13th May; these will lead up to a published book and an open mic for those who meet the requirements (participants must attend a minimum of 9 sessions to be included in the publication and/or open mic). During October, we will offer sessions focused on voice, performance and delivery. All of the above will culminate in our final celebration: Newham Poetry Festival, 10 years of building a poetry movement, which takes place on Saturday 14th November at Stratford Library, with renowned authors, special guests and our wonderful local talent. Get in touch if you’d like to join a session (free membership required), collaborate with us or support our work financially so we can continue delivering community-led sessions and events. |
